No, and that is deliberate. JilChat is a chat client. The video stays where you are already watching it, be it TV, console, browser or the Twitch app, and JilChat handles the chat beside it.

No. Sign-in runs through Twitch’s official OAuth flow, so your password is only ever typed into Twitch. The access token stays on your device, in the iOS Keychain or the Android Keystore.
