Emotes from every common provider
JilChat loads emotes from Twitch, 7TV, BTTV, FrankerFaceZ and FFZ:AP, both global sets and channel sets. Animated emotes play as animations, 7TV paints are drawn properly, and new channel emotes show up within seconds without a restart.
All badge providers
Next to the name sit badges from Twitch, 7TV, FrankerFaceZ, Chatterino and JilChat. In a busy chat that is what tells you at a glance who is talking.
Highlights and push notifications
Highlight rules colour the messages you care about: your name, particular users or keywords you choose. The free plan allows three rules, Pro removes the limit.
With Pro, matches also arrive as push notifications, even when the app is fully closed. If you use JilChat Chatterino, our Chatterino fork, on your PC, phone notifications pause automatically while it is open.
Moderation right on the message
If Twitch lists you as a moderator, every message carries timeout, ban and delete buttons. The permissions come from Twitch, JilChat grants none of its own.
A display you can adjust
Font size, line spacing, message density, background colour, timestamps and emote size are adjustable. Chat stays readable from across the room and still keeps up at twenty messages a second.
Images, videos and voice messages
Pictures, videos and voice messages can be sent straight from the app. JilChat uploads the file and puts a short jil.chat link into chat that anyone can open. Image upload is free, videos and voice messages are part of Pro.
For streamers: alerts in their own panel
JilChat has dedicated options for streamers. Alerts such as new subs land in a separate panel, apart from chat. That way you see who just subbed even in the fastest chat, and chat itself stays readable.
Multiple chats at once
With Pro, several channels stay open at the same time, the way you know it from Chatterino on a PC. No jumping back and forth between channels to keep up with all of them.
Built-in Twitch player
If you want, JilChat plays the stream of the channel you are chatting in, right above chat. If you would rather watch on the TV or a monitor, leave the player off.
